M5 A1 “Stuart” light tanks of the 2nd French armored division’s 501st RCC (tank regiment).
They are painted white to match the winter weather conditions and make them easier to camouflage. The lime paint drum is visible in the foreground. The snowfalls of the following days would prove this precaution right.
