An exciting program!
To commemorate this historic moment and celebrate this anniversary, the town of Rosheim, in partnership with the association “Les Amis de Rosheim”, is organizing several unique events.
June – December: photographic exhibition in Rosheim
Relive the day and weeks following the Liberation as if you were there! A series of totem panels will be set up in the Romanesque town at the very locations where the photos were taken 80 years earlier. You will be in the photographer’s shoes!
November 24: official commemorations
A day of remembrance, with an official ceremony preceded by a historic parade in the footsteps of the Americans. For the rest of the day, a re-enactment troupe will set up on the Town Hall square.

November 23/24, November 30/December 1: an exhibition in the town hall reception rooms
An exhibit, a story, a theme. From the Allied landings in Normandy on June 6, 1944, to February 1945, relive these months as the townspeople of Rosheim did at the time, through an original exhibition featuring historical objects.
November 26: lecture by Alphonse Troestler on the events surrounding the liberation of Rosheim
